Build an FTC Robot in 30 Days

New to FTC? Our step-by-step guide shows how a school or community group can build a competitive robot from scratch using the proven Everybot approach. With as few as 2 students, a modest budget of approximately €2,500, and 30 days of focused effort, your team can be competition-ready for the Lisbon Scrimmage.

Common Questions

How do I register my team?

Fill out the form below. You’ll receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. Registration is confirmed on receipt of the €150 fee. Spots are limited to ~12 teams — register early.

What is the registration fee?

€150 per team. Covers full-day competition access, pit space, meals and refreshments for up to 15 people (students + coaches), and all event materials. Payment instructions are sent after your application is reviewed.

What should our team bring?

Your robot (fully assembled and inspection-ready), drive team and pit crew, standard FTC tools and spare parts, engineering notebook or portfolio, and your team banner. Field game elements will be provided. A full logistics guide is sent 4 weeks before the event.

Which FTC season rules apply?

This is an Off-season event using 2025–26 DECODE season field and game rules. Robots must pass standard FTC inspection. Enforcement is practical and educational — teams should arrive ready to compete, and inspection will include guidance for any issues found.

Can we travel from outside Portugal?

Absolutely — open to any FTC team in Europe. TagusPark is 20 minutes from Lisbon Airport (LIS) and well-served by public transport. Recommended hotels and travel tips will be shared with registered teams. Lisbon is a wonderful city — we encourage you to extend your trip!
